Guitarist, Bassist, Teacher, Composer.
Jordan Price is a guitarist, bassist, composer, producer, and music teacher in Sacramento, California. He is a founding member of the Reggae/Rock band The E-Regulars and the Progressive Metal band Bleak Machine.
Jordan’s love for music began in elementary school where he played saxophone in the school band. In high school, the heavy guitar sounds of Van Halen and Metallica inspired him to pick up guitar and bass. His background with both horns and rock instruments led to performing and writing for funk, ska, reggae, jazz, and rock ensembles.
Jordan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from San Jose State University, where he studied jazz guitar, composition, music theory, and electro-acoustic music. While there, he performed with award-winning Choir and Afro-Latin Jazz Ensembles, premiered original electro-acoustic works, and co-taught the university’s beginning guitar class.
He has also studied recording arts at Diablo Valley College and privately with respected musicians including Mike Williams, Chris Lee, Glenn Letsch, and attended master classes with jazz legends John Stowell and Hristo Vitchev.
His versatile playing spans rock, metal, reggae, ska, funk, blues, and jazz. He currently performs throughout the Sacramento area with The E-Regulars, Bleak Machine, Symphonia Phonotone, and Lunar.
