Jordan has taught guitar for over three years, culminating with co-teaching the guitar class at San Jose State University. He accepts students of all levels and ages on acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. He has experience teaching rock, jazz, blues, funk, reggae, ska, Latin, metal, punk, fusion, classical, and pop.
Jordan's teaching style caters to each individual student's needs and involves blending music that they love with teaching technique and the skills to develop musicianship. These include developing a sense of time and rhythm, music theory, sight reading, how to play and work with other musicians, overcoming performance anxiety, and how to improvise.
Jordan also offers tutoring in music theory and songwriting.
